We are always on the look out for both qualified and experienced enthusiastic individuals to join our team.

If you have an NVQ in Childcare, teaching or nursing qualification or have informal experience and a natural aptitude for caring and engaging with children we are interested in hearing from you.

Firstly we will satisfy ourselves that a carer being employed by Little Fishes shares our value of being dedicated to providing a child with a safe and friendly environment that provides stimulating activities and enjoyment.  Secondly and just as important your suitability for being in sole charge of a child  - this will include an interview, having or obtaining enhanced CRB and reference checks.

Our policy is

Would we feel happy to have this person look after our own children?
If we don’t, they don’t.

So long as we are able to verify your current disclosure with the Registered Body that issued it, we will accept valid Enhanced CRB disclosures less than two years old.  For prospective carers without an enhanced CRB disclosure or one older than 2 years, we can arrange one for you which you will need to pay for.The current price set by the CRB is £36 for an enhanced clearance.  The CRB’s policy is for organisations such as Little Fishes to use larger Umbrella Bodies, who make an additional charge somewhere in the region of £10 - £20 for each clearance – the cost of which will also need to be met by you.  Enhanced disclosures are valid for two years from date of issue.
